Qube Cinema Technology is looking for talented writers to join our dynamic subtitles division. We are dedicated to producing clear, grammatically accurate, and high-quality English subtitles for Hindi movies. This role offers a unique opportunity to delve into the world of film and digital storytelling through the art of subtitling.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with content producers to ensure the subtitles are delivered on schedule. 

Transcribe and accurately time subtitles for movies and web series, maintaining the essence and context of the original dialogue.
Produce high-quality subtitles that are free from errors and inconsistencies.
Adhere to the specific formatting and stylistic guidelines required for various digital platforms.


In the future, the role will extend beyond subtitling to encompass various creative writing responsibilities, such as crafting audio descriptions and pitch documents, among others.

(Note: This is a work-from-office-only position. Monday to Friday with Saturdays on a need-to-work basis.)

Ideal Candidate:

  • Possesses outstanding language skills in English and Hindi, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Has the ability to read and write Hindi fluently.
  • Exhibits strong writing and editing capabilities to craft high-quality subtitles.
  • Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in their work.
  • Knowledge of additional Indian languages is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Open to both newcomers in the professional field and candidates with a solid track record in writing.
