Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor AWS resources including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, and IAM roles.
  • Track resource usage, performance metrics, and billing information to ensure optimal operation and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security best practices and compliance standards within AWS environments.
  • Configure security groups, network access control lists, and other security measures to protect AWS resources.
  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions for AWS resources.
  • Set up automated backups, snapshot EC2 instances and EBS volumes, and regularly test disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability
  • Monitor and optimize costs associated with AWS usage
  • Identify unused or underutilized resources and implement cost-saving measures such as reserved instances or spot instances
  • Generate and analyze cost reports to provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to AWS services, infrastructure, and deployments.
  • Provide timely and effective solutions to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Oversee the daily operations of AWS environments, ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of AWS resources
  • Provide responsive support to users, addressing their needs and resolving issues promptly

Experience:  2-4 years 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing AWS environments.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services, security best practices, and compliance standards.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and cost management strategies.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and services (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, AWS Config).
