Project Lead - Localization

The Project Lead will oversee the end-to-end subtitling process for movie content, ensuring linguistic accuracy, sync precision, and timely delivery. This role involves coordinating with editors/Production house and content teams for corrections, mentoring a team of 5–8 subtitle editors, and ensuring adherence to quality and style guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a team of 5–8 subtitle editors, translators, and QC specialists.
• Coordinate with video editors/Production house and content teams to verify subtitle timing, dialogue accuracy, and context alignment.
• Review and approve subtitle files to ensure quality standards, readability, and consistency across all formats.
• Oversee content corrections, dialogue updates, and re-sync processes as required by the editing team.
• Plan and allocate tasks to team members to ensure on-time delivery of all projects.
• Collaborate with QC specialist and mastering teams for final output validation.
• Maintain language style guides and ensure compliance with studio specifications and accessibility standards.
• Prepare periodic reports on subtitling quality, productivity, and project status.
• Coordinate with the Audio Description team to meet project deadlines.

    Skills and Competencies:

• Proficiency in reading and writing Hindi is mandatory. Familiarity with an additional language such as Punjabi, Marathi and Bengali is advantageous.
• Strong command over English and regional languages used in movie content.
• Excellent understanding of timecoding, reading speed, and captioning standards.
• Experience in film post-production workflows and content QC processes.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Mentoring and project management abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in subtitling software will be an added advantage

    Qualification & Preferred Background:

• Any graduation
• Working from Office only
• Experience working in a movie or OTT subtitling environment.
• Exposure to multi-language subtitling and dubbing coordination
• Familiarity with DCP or theatrical content formats.
